What’s in my tennis bag? Supplements to get focused, stay hydrated, and refuel!

I love to play tennis!  Here’s me after this morning’s match:


Tennis is a brand new sport for me, and I’ve fallen head-over-heels with it!

We moved to Florida in February and I joined the “Play Tennis Fast!” 4 week beginners course at our neighborhood club.  They graduated me (:) ) and I joined the Palencia Women’s League (D team – yeah!)

Thought it’s only been a few months, I’ve already learned that I need to supplement to meet my body’s needs to play my best in this sport.  If you play tennis, then you know that matches can last 2-3 hours!  Players need to have focus and endurance and they need to stay hydrated, especially here in Florida where it’s sunny, humid, and hot!

Unfortunately, Gatorade, Powerade, and other sports drinks are full of artificial ingredients like colors, flavors, and sweeteners.  Ick!  We know those ingredients aren’t healthy, so we avoid them.

I’m SO thankful that Beachbody created their athlete performance line “Beachbody Performance.”  Everything in the line is 100% all-natural (!!!) and the science behind each product delivers exactly what our body needs.  It’s a bonus that they taste so good!

Supplements I pack into my tennis bag to get focused, stay hydrated, and go the distance on match days:

Energize Pre-Workout:

Hydrate During Workout:

Without hydrate, I’m not sure I could go 2 hours in direct sun and 80% humidity and stay accurate!

Shakeology Post-Workout.

I drink Shakeology for breakfast, directly post workout, every single day.  My tennis matches are at 8:30 in the morning, so it works out perfectly!  Sometimes I’m sipping it in my car or as I walk around the house doing things.  It’s perfect for on-the-go fitness!

Read about Shakeology here.  I like the vegan tropical to-go packets and put 5 in my tennis bag at the start of each week…again, so I don’t forget them!  I take my bag everywhere with me, so it’s nice to have breakfast (or an emergency lunch!) within arms reach at all times. The way my life goes, it’s wise to plan for the unexpected 🙂
