Supplements can be used to fill in any nutritional gaps OR make it easier to get all of those nutrients in.
As a fitness professional focused on quality, I have reviewed many (many!) supplements, and only a few have stood out as excellent. They are they supplements I love and use myself, and I recommend them to all of my clients. They are:
Shakeology – Meal Replacement Shake.
Drinking this for the past 7 years has increased my health tremendously, and is the only meal replacement shake I will drink. It replaces a traditional vitamin mineral supplement and a meal. I enjoy it every morning for breakfast within 30 minute of my workout. It includes:

This easy softgel provides full-spectrum essential fatty acid support that blends omega-
3s EPA and DHA from fish oil for a healthy heart, normal brain function, and a positive mood, with omega-6 GLA from borage oil for healthy joints and skin, and omega-9. An added 1000 I.U. natural vitamin D3 enhances bone, immune, and mood health. This one is good!
Natural Vitality – Calcium Magnesium fizzy tea.
This wonderful fizzy drink promotes healthy magnesium levels and balances calcium intake, helping me feel less stressed and more relaxed. I enjoy it warm right before bedtime and it prepares me for a good night’s sleep. Ahhhh!
Beachbody Performance – Energize Pre-Workout drink.
This al-natural drink ignites energy and sharpens focus during my training. Key ingredients include beta-alanine, low-dose caffeine from green tea, and plant-based quercetin scientifically shown to delay exercise-induced muscle fatigue, improve performance, and help you push with maximum intensity. I drink this about 10 minutes before any intense training session (most days!).
Iron Code – Raw Iron.
This supplement contains 22mg of gentle whole food iron along with vitamins C, B-12 and folate to support iron absorption and utilization. Supports blood, heart, eye, immune system and reproductive health. It also contains live probiotics and enzymes to support easy, healthy digestion after I take the pill. I take this every other day.
